TRANSPORTATION TO THE TURKISH REPUBLIC OF NORTHERN CYPRUS (TRNC)

Transportation to the TRNC is possible by airway and seaway.

Airway: Turkish Airlines, Cyprus Turkish Airlines, Anadolu Jet, Atlasjet and Pegasus Airlines have frequent scheduled flights to Northern Cyprus (TRNC) from Turkey. There are also scheduled Northern Cyprus flights from England, Germany and various other European countries to Ercan International Airport, Northern Cyprus and Turkey. All flights to Northern Cyprus stop en route in Turkey for an hour or so. The flight time between Northern Cyprus and main airports of Turkey is sixty minutes on average. The following is a list of possible flights to Ercan International Airport, Northern Cyprus and indicated prices for flights from Turkey are   € 125 and are valid until 10 June 2010:

• Pegasus Airlines (Adana, Hatay, Ankara, Antalya, İstanbul (Sabiha Gökçen), İzmir) [ € 125] 
  Amsterdam, Düsseldorf, Stansted, Munich, Stuttgart, Zurich flights are also available.

Transfer to Girne Acapulco Hotel from Ercan International Airport: The distance between Ercan International Airport and Girne is 44 km. If requested, roundtrip transfer from the airport to Girne Acapulco Hotel is available for € 25 for the conference participants. Additionally, private car rental from the airport and private taxi service at the airport are also alternative options. 

Seaway: Ferry and seabus trips are made daily from Mersin-Taşucu and Girne seaports. Additionally, there are daily Alanya – Girne seabus trips during summertime. Transfer to Girne Acapulco Hotel from Girne Port: Private taxi services are available between the port and the hotel.

VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR THE TRNC AND TURKEY

Conference participants do not require a visa for entries to the TRNC up to 3 months; they just need to hold a valid passport. However, citizens of some countries require a visa for entries to Turkey (please click here to check for such countries).
